DAY 1: YOUR LOCATION / REGION OF CANTABRIA
Early departure by tourist coach in the direction of Narbonne, Toulouse and the Spanish Pyrenees. Free lunch along the way. At the end of the day, arrival in Cantabria in Laredo, a city known for its sandy beaches. Installation at your hotel. Dinner and overnight.
DAY 2: ASTURIAS / GALICIA / SAINT JACQUES DE COMPOSTELLE
Breakfast. Departure along the province of Asturias towards the region of Galicia. Stop in the town of Luarca for lunch in a typical restaurant, where the specialty is "Fabada", a Spanish cassoulet. Road to Santiago de Compostela arrived in the early evening. Installation at the hotel for 4 nights. Dinner and night.
DAY 3: PRESQU’ÎLES LA RIA D'AROUSA / LA TOJA
Breakfast. Depart for the day on an excursion to discover the Ria of Arouca, one of the most beautiful on the Galician coast, between the points of Covasa and San Vicente, which contains islets of extraordinary beauty. The winding relief of Arosa with its many coves and peninsulas shelters many marine villages, Carril, Cambados, a stately city with its coats of arms and manors and O Grove, a cult of gastronomy.
Boat trip to discover the mussel parks with tasting. Typical “seafood” lunch.
In the afternoon, a brief stop to contemplate the island of La Toja, linked to the town of El Grove by a 19th-century bridge. Return by the city of Sanxenxo. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
DAY 4: LA COLOGNE / PONTEDEUME / BETANZOS
Breakfast. Departure for the day, for a guided excursion towards A Coruña:
Discovery of spectacular monuments like the Tower of Hercules, the oldest Roman lighthouse in the world still in use, from where you can admire the panorama of the coast. The important historic port, with its spectacular glass tower, the sandy beaches of Riazor and Orzàn, the medieval old town with the collegiate church and the fortress of San Anton and the gardens, provides a setting conducive to long walks.
In the afternoon, excursion to Pontedeume, one of the secondary paths of the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela, a typical fishing village with its beautiful sea promenade, its 12th-century Romanesque churches, and above all the palace-fortress of 'Andrade. Road along the Rìa coast to Betanzos. The city of Betanzos is considered the capital of Galician Gothic. In the historic center, many well-preserved churches bear witness to this. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.
DAY 5: RIA DE NOIA / ST JACQUES DE COMPOSTELLE
Breakfast. Departure for a guided excursion to Corrubedo to discover the Great Dune which dominates the natural park for 1 km. The park also shelters a lagoon "Carregal," It is a place of pleasant walk. Then road along the larìa of Muros and Noia which looks like an open slit in the middle of the granite rocks. Visit Noia with its narrow and winding alleys overlooking small arcaded squares. nicknamed "Puerto de Compostela" (port of Compostela) for its proximity and its links with the city of Santiago de Compostela. Return towards Santiago de Compostela. Typical “scallop shell” lunch. Then guided tour of this city classified World Heritage Site, a famous place of pilgrimage: the Obradoiro square dominated by the impressive Baroque facade of the Cathedral, the old Royal Hospital, the manor of Raxoi, and the San Palace Jeronimo. Visit the cathedral: the striking porch of Glory representing the Last Judgment, the great nave, the chapel of the relics, the finely crafted high altar. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.
DAY 6: MONDONEDO / RIBADEO / CANTABRIA REGION
Breakfast. Departure for the northwest of Spain to Galicia. Stop north of the province of Lugopour, in Mondonedo for a visit to the Basilica of San Martino, the oldest in Spain, a building of Romanesque architecture, dating from the end of the 11th century. Continue with the visit of Foz and its immense fine sandy beaches, and Ribadeo with the beach “des cathédrales”. Its cliffs are hollowed out in the shape of an arch, it is one of the most beautiful natural landscapes in the north of Spain. Lunch. Then drive towards Cantabria. Installation, dinner, and overnight at the hotel.
DAY 7: RETURN TO YOUR LOCALITY
