TANGIER TO MARRAKECH VIA THE SAND DUNES 5DAYS
DAY 1: TANGIER - CHEFCHAOUEN - FES 312km. After breakfast at your Hotel in Tangier meet our driver guide and heading through the Rif mountains to discover Chafchaouen is a mountain town in northeastern Morocco with a superb setting, full of charm and authenticity. The city is characterized by the blue Andalusian architecture and known for its beautiful Rifi local rugs. Every corner of Chefchaouen's Medina offers a magical view of the city's narrow streets and surrounding mountains. Its small streets are very beautiful, colorful and pleasant to walk around. Uta el-Hammam is the heart of the medina and a meeting place for locals, there are many nice cafes. In the same square, you visit the city's big mosque and the kasbah with its very pleasant gardens. A few steps from the medina is the Makhzen Square which leads to the source of Ras el-Maa, one of the most beautiful places of Chaouen where you sometimes see women washing their clothes, the old, at the water's edge. To visit Chefchaouen is also to take your time and immerse yourself in the way of life of its inhabitants, very different from the frenetic pace of the big cities of Morocco. You can descend to the modern city to attend the weekly market (Monday or Thursday) where the mountain inhabitants in traditional outfits come to offer their products, after Lunch we continue our tour from to Fez, free time to stroll the Medina and dinner on your own. Overnight at Riad Al Makan or similar Meals included : -Lunch at the Local restaurant. DAY 2 : FEZ SIGHTSEEING. Meet your tour guide at the riad and start the Visit of Fez El-Bali through the grandiose gate Bab Boujloud that will take you to two main streets: Talaa Kebira "the big climb", the largest, and Talaa Sghira "the little climb". Both lead to the heart from the medina: the Nejjarine square and its famous fountain, the souks, the Karaouine mosque and the Moulay Idriss Zaouia. Visit the Bab Oujloud gate which unfolds a beautiful esplanade on which every year the free concerts of the Festival of Fes sacred music of the world take place. Visit of : the Nejjarine foundouk which houses the Museum of Arts and Crafts of Wood: you will be surprised by the panorama of the tea room of the museum on the roofs of Fez Al Quaraouiyine University, Al Quaraouiyine University was one of the first universities created worldwide. The foundation of this university is attributed to Fatima EL Fihria, and this in 859. Since that time, this university was one of the first universities in the world, a place of worship and knowledge in Morocco. Having helped to shine the city of Fez at the world level. the medersas, to the wadi and its souks. the souks of Fez: Along the wadi of Fez, the souks are home to master craftsmen in aesthetics. You can enter for pleasure of the eyes in one of these foundouks (workshop of craftsmen). the souk of henna is an old souk located in the medina, for centuries, it has been selling henna but also many other traditional cosmetic and pharmaceutical products such as rassoul, black soap, kohl, rose water, essens jasmine, lavender essens, musk essens ... You will also find many shops specializing in the sale of pottery. After a break, visit the Tombs Mérinides: the hill, the view of Fez and the Sebou valley is impregnable. DAY 3: FES - IFRANE - ZIZ VALLEY - ERFOUD - MERZOUGA 360km.
Today we drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains and cedar forests to the big dunes of Merzouga passing by Ifrane, a charming ski resort and Azrou an important center of crafts specialized in cedar wood work. Arrive at Midelt for lunch. Afternoon drive to Erfoud and the Ziz valley dotted with palm trees. Continue to Merzouga town where we meet our camels to cross the the dunes to the Erg Chebbi dunes, enjoying the sunset in silence of the Sahara desert dunes, Dinner and Overnight at the Nomadinc tents at the dunes. Meals included : -Breakfast -Lunch -Dinner DAY 4: ERG CHEBBI DUNES - MERZOUGA - TODRA GORGE 197KM. We will get up early and climb on the big dunes of Erg Chebbi to take a picture of sunrise and, then we ride our camels crossing the dunes to the Hotel in the town for breakfast before we drive towards the Gorges via Erfoud where we stop to visit the traditional market and fossil factory, and continue our way to the Todra Gorge, Lunch on the way, arrive to the Raid check-in and start our short trek through the Gorges 1.5hr walk.. Dinner and Overnight at the authentic guest house inside the gorges.Meals included : -Breakfast -Lunch -Dinner DAY 5: TODRA GORGES - OUARZAZATE- KASBAH AIT BENHADDOU – MARRAKECH 360KM. departure to Tinghir city short visit of Palm groves then continue towards Boumalne Dades, Rose valley and to Skoura which shelters several very beautiful kasbahs and oasis, afterwards drive to Ouarzazate for Lunch, visit the Kasbahs and Atlas Studio movie before we head to Ait Ber haddou Kasbahs and Ksars short visit and continue through the Onila valley with its beautiful villages and kasbahs including Telouat Kasbah the Palace of the Lord of the atlas(THAMI ELGLAOUI) . late afternoon we cross the High Atlas Mountains towards Marrakech via Tizi N'Tichka 2260m the highest Mountains pass we cross by car in Morocco, arrive to Marrakech around 7-8pm, check*in at your Hotel, end of our services.
