Day 1: Marrakech /Ouarzazate / The Draa Valley / Zagora / Jbel Bani After breakfast at your Hotel in Marrakech, pick up at 8am and heading towards Ouarzazate, then cross the beautiful Draa Valley for Zagora and then to the west by the track to find our camel team with their camels at the foot of the mountain called Jabel Bani, we start the hike by the ascent of a small pass at 1100m with a beautiful panoramic view of a beautiful mountain desert. We descend then to join our camp near the small oasis of Aferdou. 3 hrs walk. Dinner and overnight at the camp. |
Day 2: Oued Mhasser / foot of Djabel Bani
We descend the canyon of wadi mhasser, rich of its beautiful water gueltas and a beautiful mineral frame. We then establish the camp at the foot of jabel bani, the last mountain before the dunes. 5 hrs walk. Dinner and overnight at the camp. Day 3: Reg Mhasser / Erg Elaabedlya After breakfast at the camp, we cross a large stone plateau (the reg) before reaching the dunes of mssioua and el aabidliya. We establish the camp near the dunes. 6 hrs of walk. Dinner and overnight at the camp. Day 4: Elaabedia / Erg El Ghoule Dunes We walk in the middle of the dunes, with on the horizon the mountain of Jebel Bani to the north and hamada of Draa to the south before the border with Algeria. We set up the camp near the dunes of erg el ghoul. 5 hrs Walk. Dinner and overnight at the camp. Day 5: Erg Mhazile Today we head to the west for one last morning in the dunes towards erg el mhazil. Our last night at the camp in the dunes.4h walk Dinner and overnight at the camp. Day 6: Dry Lake Irrikki / Foum Zguid / Ouarzazate / Marrakech. After breakfast our vehicles pick us up from our camp driving through the off road and we leave for to join the way to foum zguid then we head to Ouarzazate, after lunch we contunie towards Marrakech via Tichka pass. .
