Atlas and Sahara Tours prepared this Berber trail of the Anergui valley, which is an ecolodge trek in the Atlas, trek in a preserved valley of the Moroccan Atlas, for beautiful Berber walks in the valley of Anergui.
Still recently isolated, the valley of Anergui is a valley crossed by Assif Melloul and its impressive gorges that separate the Middle Atlas from the central High Atlas. Its citadel villages that spring in the heart of wild and grandiose landscapes, are among the most beautiful of the Atlas. To discover the authentic beauty and its centuries-old traditions, it must be furrowed, because the entire Berber tribe Ait Sukhmane is meeting there from dawn until dusk. The meetings with the population very attached to its traditions will bring moments of conviviality enriching. Itinerary:
DAY 1 - MARRAKECH
Airport reception and transfer to the Hotel in the Medina. Free Evening.
Overnight at Riad Challa or Similar.
DAY 2: THE ANERGUI VALLEY.
Departure to the valley of Anergui crossing the central High Atlas. Picnic at Lake Bin-Elouidane before resuming our way through wild landscapes, between green oaks and junipers to the highlands of Tagleft, then the circus of Anergui. Another 30 minutes of track to arrive at our Berber house, located at the entrance of the gorges of Assif Melloul.

DAY 3: TRADITIONAL VILLAGES & FORTIFIED ATGRIES
This first hike allows you to discover the beautiful villages citadels of pink clay of the valley. Here, ighrems or fortified granaries are among the most beautiful in the Atlas.
At Ait Khouya we will meet the potter and the blacksmith, central characters of village life. Picnic or lunch at the inhabitant. Back to our Berber house.

DAY 4: THE CIRCUS OF ANERGUI
This morning we take the mule track that starts from the house towards the Tizi-n'Dari pass (1800m). And before our eyes the great circus of Anergui. We will cross the other side of the mountain to reach the tiny village of Batli surrounded by the high peaks of the Atlas.
Superb view of the alluvial plain and its green mosaic of fields and orchards that overlook the villages ocher-red hung on the slopes of the mountain. Lunch at the inhabitant. Back to our House.

DAY 5: ASSIF MELLOUL & THE GORGES
Today an aquatic day in the gorges of the assif Melloul and aqqua Tafraoute awaits us. Walk in this canyon more and more narrow and deep, often feet in the water, to arrive at the confluence of the wadi Tafraout. Picnic and swim before returning to our guest house.

DAY 6: THE SOUK OF EL KHEMIS
Thursday is the day of the souk. It is the meeting point of all the inhabitants of the valley and nomads who come down from the highlands of Kousser to sell their animals or barter. Morning at the souk to meet the locals, then walk in the surrounding mountains and picnic. returning to our guest house.

DAY 7: RETURN TO MARRAKECH
It's time to leave our Berber friends Said, Fatou, Hadda and Touda with whom you surely have spent a week exotic, to return to Marrakech where we will arrive at the end of the day. Drop off at your hotel. Free dinner.
