Toubkal Winter Climb

Snow lovers may like to climb the highest peak in North
Africa, Mt Toubkal 4167m (around 13600fit), pack
your staff & try to experience this adventure walk in
the heart of the high atlas Mountains, Set in a region
of dramatic mountains, beautifully terraced valleys and
mud villages perched precipitously on hillsides, Toubkal
makes an exciting, interesting and accessible break for
weekend walkers and seasoned trekkers alike. The trek
starts and finishes just an hour's drive from Morocco's
most exotic city, Marrakech, and during the winter
season we usually use crampons and ixe axes to reach the
non-technical summit.

Day 1 : Arrive Marrakech
Overnight 3 star hotel
Day 2 : Drive to Imlil, hike 5 hours
to Toubkal refuge
Overnight refuge
Day 3 : Early start, trek to the
summit of Toubkal (4167m), descend
Overnight camping or at refuge
Day 4 : Walk back to Imlil, transfer to Marrakech
Overnight in authentic "riad" guesthouse
Day 5 : Depart Marrakech or extend stay in Morocco
