Reviews...
“Great Trip. Thank you Abdul and Muhammed”
We booked a three night four day trek in the Atlas Mountains with Atlas and Sahara. Our children are 14, 11, and 6. They provided an extra mule for the 6 year old, and a muleteer (Hassan) who took great care of her. Our primary guide, Abdul, was just wonderful. He had a great knowledge of the mountains, was extremely friendly, and did everything possible to make our trip good. It snowed on our third day, making it impossible for the mule carrying our 6-year old to climb to the pass planned for that day. So our trip had to be completely reorganized in the middle, and Abdul did a great job. Be sure to take your own sheets. Some of the "guesthouses" at which we stayed were not just primitive. All in all a wonderful trip. Thank you Abdul!

“Very professional and well organised trek - geared to family with children”
We picked Atlas and Sahara Tours as they had good reviews on trip advisor, including reviews by other families with children, and we were equally impressed.
We have twin 12 year olds plus a 6 year old who has never done anything like this, so it was really important to have a company that genuinely understood families and could tailor accordingly.
They picked an excellent route for us - not too ambitious, though still challenging - and the mule provided for my daughter to ride on worked out out great - and was great fun for her and her two brothers - though she did walk too! She didn't much like the steep narrow descents on a mule, preferring to walk those - can't say I blame her!
Our guide, Abdul, was very helpful and came from the local area. Considering it was Ramadam and very hot when we were there he did an amazing job. The guest house we satyed in was very basic but was clean, and the company arranged for us to have sheets & blankets provided as we couldn't bring sleeping bags without busting our Ryan Air baggage allowance.
I thought the price was very reasonable - we paid £350 for two days including one nights accommodation and all food with guide, cook & 3 mules plus efficient and comfortable transport in a 4x4 to and from Marakech.
The communications were excellent both beforehand with Mohammed by email, and when we arrived with Mustafa who also met us at the end. Everythign was as discussed and promised.
Handy tip - if you go in August pack some light breathable waterproofs as summer storms crop up. Mustafa was very helpful ran around on our behalf arranging hire of waterproofs while we set off, and then drove them up to us en route but this is obviously not the ideal (or cheapest) solution!
Also in August be aware it is is still very hot , though fresher than down in Marrakech.
I would love to go back and do one of the more challenging treks and would highly recommend the company!! will try to post some pics if my teccie skills can cope - the landscapes were amazing, and loved the Berber villages perched on the hlilsides.

“Brilliant Company, superb for families”
We found Atlas and Sahara Tours by searching on the internet. We had already read the Lonely Planet guide and had decided on the trek we wanted to take. I emailed several companies but Atlas and Sahara Tours were very quick to respond and very professional in their approach. In Imlil Mohammed came to visit us the night before the trek and went through all the details of our 3 day/2night adventure. The next morning we were greeted with our wonderful guide Ibrahim and two assistants who looked after both the mules and cooked wonderful meals for us. Our children aged 10 and 12 rode the mules (uphill) when they needed, and I grabbed a ride on the last day which was fantastic. We had a great adventure and were looked after extremely well. I would highly recommend this tour company. We are looking forward to going back for some more Atlas trekking. Thank you Ibrahim

“Outstanding Moroccan experience for children”
Through Mohamed, we arranged a 2-day Atlas trek as part of 5-day trip to Marrakesh; family includes 3 boys (9, 7, 7). Half-day camel trek, followed by overnight stay at local guesthouse in the Atlas, and then a full day of mule trekking around the foothills of Toubkal. A fantastic exposure to Morocco, with friendly, well-informed and chatty guides who went out of thir way to look after our kids. Delicious locally-cooked food throughout, basic but very comfortable guesthouse, beautiful scenery. Organisation was excellent by internet from UK and in-country. Fast, efficient transfers; good advice on local shopping etc; never a shortage of mint tea! Good value for money. Kids loved it. We would recommend Atlas and Sahara Tours without hesitation.
