TREK Toubkal Ascent & Berber villages of the High Atlas

Day 1: Marrakech.
- Arrival to
Marrakech airport, meet our driver, transfer to the Riad
at the heart of the medina.

Day 2: Marrakech – Oukaimeden - Tachdirte:
After breakfast departure towards the ski station of
Oukaimeden, cross the beautiful Ourika valley, enjoy the
panoramic view of the typical Berber villages along the
way, arrival to the starting point, meet the team of
multeers & cook, visit the engraving rocks & then have
lunch before settling out to climb Ouaimeden summit
(3200m), enjoy the stunning view over Imnane valley &
Toubkal Mountains, walk down toTizi n'Addi pass (2800m),
continue
along
a mule path down to Tachdirte village. Overnight &
Dinner at the Guest house.

2hrs Driver, 5hrs walking.
Day 3: Tachdirte - Imlil :
An easy journey of walk, walking trough Tizi n'Tamaterte
pass (2279m), panoramic view over Imnane & Imlil valley
as well as Toubkal summit (4167m), continue through the
forest, Tamaterte & TargaImoula village, arrival
directly to Aremd our Bivouac point (5 hrs walk).
Day
4: Imlil – Aremd - Sidi Chamharouch - Toubkal Refuge:
Departure in the morning for the refuge passing by the
Marabou Sidi
Chamharouch, for a visit and than continue rising up to
the refuge 3200 m
for the night, overnight under the tents (5hrs walk).
Day 5: Refuge - Toubkal summit 4176m – Aremd
Departure early in the morning about 04h00 for a slowly
rise up the refuge
04 hours rise until the summit and 2 hours come down to
the refuge for a
lunch afternoon continuation walk down back to Aremd
village overnight at
the guest house (3hrs walk up + 6hrs Walk down).
Day 6: Aremd - Marrakech:
After breakfast, Drive back directly to Marrakech,
Afternoon visit of the
city. Overnight at the Hotel/Riad (1.30hrs drive).
Day 7: Marrakech.

Free day in Marrakech or guided visit of the medina,
historical monuments, souks & gardens (optional).

Alternative with supplmement: 1 more guided walk through
Azzaden valley.
Day 8: Marrakech - Airport:
Departure Transfer to the Airport . End of our services.

Riad or hotel 3 * in Marrakech, tents 2 places with
mattress & Berber houses during the trek.

typically Moroccan dishes (Tagine, couscous...). Fresh
products and complements of preserves, meat bought in
mountain. Picnic or salads at midday, meal hot and
cooked the evening.

dryness and heat in spring, cold the night in possible
winter storm

French and English Berber guide speaking, cook,
muleteers.

Luggage & equipments :
During
the hike, your luggage is carried by mules. However, you
should take your personal belongings which you may need
during the walks (waterproofs, warm clothing,
waterbottle, camera, sun cream, etc.).
